Newcastle-under-Lyme
AI Automation & Bespoke Software in Newcastle-under-Lyme
Newcastle-under-Lyme occupies a unique position in the North Staffordshire economy. It is simultaneously a historic borough with deep roots in ceramics and coal mining, and a knowledge economy town powered by Keele University's research output and graduate talent pipeline. That duality creates a specific technology gap we see nowhere else in our patch. Solicitors and accountancy practices on the Brampton and around Ironmarket handle enormous volumes of compliance paperwork that AI processes brilliantly. Keele Science and Innovation Park tenants are commercialising research but lack the software infrastructure to scale sales beyond their first handful of clients. At Lymedale Business Park, mid-size manufacturers still coordinate production runs over email chains and shared drives. Silverdale Enterprise Park hosts logistics and trade firms where dispatch errors eat margins every month. We design AI document processing for Newcastle's legal and finance sector, build CRM and pipeline automation for Keele-connected ventures, and create inventory management systems for the borough's light industrial base. Each solution reflects the specific commercial pressures of this town, not a template repackaged from somewhere else.

Learn moreAbout Newcastle-under-Lyme
Newcastle-under-Lyme is a borough that received its royal charter in 1173, making it one of the oldest in Staffordshire. The town grew on the back of hatting, ceramics, and later coal mining at Silverdale Colliery, which closed in 1998 and whose site is now partly redeveloped as Silverdale Enterprise Park. Modern Newcastle is anchored by Keele University, a campus institution founded in 1949 that now educates over twelve thousand students and operates the Keele Science and Innovation Park, a hub for health technology, sustainability research, and knowledge-intensive start-ups. The Ironmarket, Newcastle's principal shopping street, hosts a mix of independent cafes, national retailers, and the weekly outdoor market. Borough-level regeneration is focused on the Ryecroft and Midway area, where Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council has earmarked significant investment for mixed-use development including a new civic hub. Transport connections are strong: the A34 links directly to the M6 via the A500, Stoke-on-Trent railway station on the West Coast Main Line is ten minutes away, and the borough sits within the Staffordshire Local Enterprise Partnership area. The New Vic Theatre in Basford, one of Europe's first purpose-built theatre-in-the-round venues, anchors a cultural scene that also includes the Brampton Museum and the annual Newcastle Jazz Festival. The borough's green spaces, including Brampton Park, Lyme Valley Park, and Apedale Heritage Centre on the site of the former colliery, give the area a quality of life that attracts young professionals and families relocating from pricier parts of Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
